This week we have been having special services at my home church in Lubbock with Evangelist Joshua Sullivan. The services have been called "God of the City". Many may have their own description of what is taking place. Mine would be a powerful prayer meeting. That may not sound very exciting, but is has been awesome. Seeing the people of God crying out and calling out. I don't know exactly what is in store, but I hope greater intensity and more. More Lord!!!
Last night something happened that took me off guard. We were praying in the altar when I felt a drop of water hit my face. It wasn't my tears. I just thought somebody was praying and some spit came my way. So I peaked. (My eyes were closed.) And there was nobody in front of me. I was really stunned and thinking to myself where in the world did this drop of water come from. I was really just in "calf at a new gate" mode. Then a something came to my mind that the Holy Spirit had spoken to my heart a couple of weeks earlier. Here is exactly what I wrote down...It was an email to my pastor.
I believe that next weekend something is going to break loose that has never broken loose in your church. I don’t know what it is going to look like, if even physically noticeable. Whether it begins as outpouring of the Spirit that of a level that has not be experienced or to grows into to something that has never been experienced. It is significant and will be a significant meeting prophetically. It is the beginning of the Feast of Tabernacles. Of course this is generalities. But it hopefully it represents a big picture. It will mark the beginning of something greater that what we ever desired or prayed for.
The verse that comes to mind.
Gen 7:1-4
7 The Lord then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. 2 Take with you seven a of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, 3 and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. 4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made."
The number is seven days, and the thought is the door of the ark was left open for those seven days.
I want to add something here it also states the ark was a place for the righteous. I believe something is happening at my home church (even though we are not there much because of our traveling ministry, but sure am glad we have been here for this.) and throughout the world that God is doing a work in His righteous. What he is doing in them will spread, but it must begin with the righteous. He is bringing us into a place of His presence that we haven't experienced before. It is the depth that we have been crying out for. It is the likeness of His glory that we have been crying out for. His presence is the spiritual ark of the righteous. It is the place He brings us for preparation of what He is about to do.
Then He talks about the rain that He will send that will wipe from the face of the earth everything. When the righteous time is done in ark there will be a latter rain that falls on the earth. Not of judgement, but of an awakening, a revival, a move of God, an outpouring of His Spirit. I really don't care what the title is, it is God doing everything in this day that we have been longing for. It will flood the earth. He is going to make known His Glory that fills the earth. (Isa 6:3) He is revealing it and it will be the flood gates opening up. The outpouring that everyone needs. Signs, wonders, healing, salvation, and His glory.
The second verse that comes to mind is …
Hab 3:2
2 Lord, I have heard of your fame;
I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord.
Renew them in our day,
in our time make them known;
in wrath remember mercy.
Put this verses together…
The door is being left open for 7 days for safety, mercy, and grace. If you believe some of the prophecies around…7 years which leads us to 2015.
The door being left open is His deeds and the entire verse of Hab 3:2
He will renew them in our day…to me meaning our day, our lifetime, with all of mankind. (those who accept)
He will make them known in our time…to me simply meaning…NOW with us.
There is a lot more stirring in me on this, and I am not suggesting the Lord’s return in 2015 as some do. But I do believe that the ark door is open for all to come and experience God’s shelter. This may bring extreme persecution, but we will see His fame, His deeds. I also think that it is significant of what is happening at CLAG, especially next weekend. Be open for a showing up of God that is unique, and buckle up.
So to pick up where I left off...I believe that what I felt on my face...God sending His rain in physical form. That is right you read it right. I have never experienced something like this, and at first I thought I was losing my mind. Then I found out that others experienced the same thing.
Then the sceptics start. Wow, that was fast. You see the evangelist was slinging his water bottle around. Which is saw him doing. Not like a wild man. Just praying, "God touch them over there" type of thing. Was there anything in the bottle, I don't know. Was the cap off, I don't know (which would be gross anyway). Was it water from the bottle that hit us, really don't think so. You see I saw him doing that, and when I felt something hit my face and I opened my eyes he wasn't near me. The testimony is the same from everyone else that felt it. We also were not next to each other. I could go all through scripture and why people don't believe signs and wonders, but not in this installment. I know what I believe.
For me it is not about anything oher than God, and what He wants. I will embrace when God moves by His Spirit. I am hungry for Him. Whatever that looks like. For me it is about Him, the lost, hurting, and hungry.
Whatever you want to do Lord, do it!!!
